New M2300H Hydro M_Drive Results in Better Maneuverability & Storage Accessibility
New Jersey-based MarineMax Brant Beach recently took delivery of an M2300H Hydro M_Drive forklift. This unit features a custom-engineered enclosed operators’ cab, 23,000 lbs. equivalent lifting capacity, and a 129” wheelbase.
MarineMax Brant Beach Service Center is a part of the MarineMax family, the world’s largest marine retailer, and has been serving the Ocean County area’s boating community with the highest quality support, service and OEM parts for over twenty years.
In 2019 they decided to upgrade their marina forklift as their other forklift was not holding up well in the saltwater environment and frequent repairs were starting to add up. “We switched to Marine Travelift because of their reputation for quality,” says John Mondelli, General Manager at MarineMax Brant Beach. “We already have a Marine Travelift boat hoist, which made us confident in the long-lasting quality of the equipment and factory support that comes along with the Hydro M_Drive forklift.”
This M2300H hydrostatic drive marine forklift features a shorter wheelbase for maximum maneuverability around tight spaces while maintaining precise control and a tighter turning radius. It also includes the first ever enclosed cab forklift from Marine Travelift, engineered to ensure maximum operator visibility, and custom controls which were both special requests by MarineMax Brant Beach.
The cold weather in late fall and early spring, along with the brutal wind off the water, made having an enclosed cab a must for the MarineMax Brant Beach team. “Marine Travelift delivered exactly what we need,” says Mondelli. “The enclosed cab was a necessity for our operators with the unpredictable weather. We couldn’t be happier with the Marine Travelift forklift.”
With the Hydro M_Drive series marinas are able to select from many innovative custom options and enhancements to create a machine that best fits their needs. “It was especially satisfying working with MarineMax to design the enclosed cab and controls and knowing we were able to deliver exactly what they wanted,” says Brock Rubens, Director of Marine Travelift Sales. “Our team here at Marine Travelift went as far as mocking up the cab out of wood to make sure we got all the details right and visibility was not compromised.”
Moving forward, MarineMax Brant Beach will have access to Marine Travelift’s reliable service and support out of their Mid-Atlantic branch and can take advantage of the machine’s intelligent remote diagnostics. This feature is standard on all Marine Travelift Hydro M_Drive marine forklifts and is designed to wirelessly transmit machine information directly to a smart phone or tablet. This allows a trained offsite technician to troubleshoot and diagnose most issues and even upload a new program if needed, all in one session and without setting foot onsite.
